Llamas, Nostalgia & Spring Babies

During the month of May, I always tend to become a little more nostalgic and philosophic than usual. As the school semester comes to a close with summer just around the corner, I remember bits and pieces of my past that have brought me to where I am now and witness another year of my life giving way to the next. I also remind my heart to be hopeful and expectant toward the new things that God will be working in and through me.

Every time my birthday comes around, I enjoy anticipating the special moments that unfold throughout the day: the calls from my family, the hugs from dear friends, smoothie bowls to celebrate, new flowers blooming outside to admire, and more.

But along with all of that, God gave me a very unexpected surprise on May 2nd. It was an event that most of the Liberty University student body, including me, had forgotten about due to the busyness of preparing for our finals. Without further suspense: my university decided to organize a de-stress llama event for all of us to enjoy!

Yep, there were legit llamas on our campus for anyone to feed and pet!! It was something that everyone got a good laugh out of and was definitely the highlight of our day. There were also a couple of cute bunnies which made my heart swell since I've rarely seen them out and about this spring season and have always wanted one as a pet since I was little.

The whole event was a nice surprise and gift to not only me, but everyone on campus whose minds were occupied with finals and ending out the semester well. I’m so happy that out of all the days they could have scheduled the llama event, the university decided to plan it on my birthday!

Now that I’ve gushed about all of that, haha, I’d like to sincerely thank all of you who have helped contribute to the person I am today. Whether it’s connecting with me in real life or supporting me virtually through taking the time to read and comment on my blog, I’m grateful for your love and encouragement.

Cheers to all the “spring babies!” ðŸ˜ŠðŸŒ¸☀️
